‘CHARLES BOECKMAN PRESENTS THE COLDEST CASE’
NEW PRO SE SINGLE SHOT DIGITAL SINGLE DEBUTS

Pulp Author Charles Boeckman gifted the Pulp world with many characters of all types that deserved to live beyond the stories that birthed them. Pro Se Productions, a publisher of Genre Fiction and New Pulp working with Mister Boeckman, now breathes new life into these classic characters with its imprint- Charles Boeckman Presents. And Author R. P. Steeves has written a tale based on Mr. Boeckman’s work that is the first Pro Se Single Shot in the Boeckman imprint- The Coldest Case!

“There’s nothing like,” says Tommy Hancock, Pro Se Productions Editor in Chief, “a well told mystery short story with lead characters you can invest in, follow the mystery with, and enjoy even getting shot at alongside. Charles Boeckman created several like this in his long career of Pulp writing and R. P. Steeves continues doing the exact same thing with two of my favorite Boeckman creations in The Coldest Case.”

In the wake of the investigation of Pat Taylor (From Boeckman’s original tale), Detective Mike O’Shean and reporter Lil Brown have been seeing each other more regularly. They are getting close, and Mike has taken an interest in Lil’s work. She has been writing about cold cases, unsolved murders from before the war. Spurred by her pieces, O’Shean looks into the files, and discovers the reason why Lil is so interested in such matters.

O’Shean learns that Lil’s stepmother was murdered when she was in school. Her father was the prime suspect, but he was acquitted due to lack of evidence. But now, after travelling the world for the last decade, he is in town, and not two days after he arrives, the one remaining witness to the original crime turns up dead, poisoned in the same fashion as Lil’s stepmother. O’Shean decides that he must look into the case, to help Lil find closure and to keep her alive.

Charles Boeckman Presents The Coldest Case by R. P. Steeves. A Pro Se Single Shot from Pro Se Productions.

CLASSIC PULP AUTHOR’S CHARACTERS RIDE THE RANGE ANEW! ‘CHARLES BOECKMAN PRESENTS THE WILD WEST’ DEBUTS!

Known as an innovator in Genre Fiction, Pro Se Productions announces the latest volume in its Charles Boeckman Presents imprint. Featuring characters originally created by Pulp Author Charles Boeckman, Charles Boeckman Presents The Wild West returns classic Pulp heroes and villains to the range, courtesy of two of today’s best authors.

“Pro Se Productions,” says Tommy Hancock, Editor in Chief of and Partner in Pro Se Productions, “is more than honored to be responsible for bringing fantastic characters created by Charles Boeckman to modern readers in new tales. Mister Boeckman has an immense talent for breathing as much humanity into characters as he does heroism. His western leads aren’t the movie matinee idols, but men and women with wounds, both physical and otherwise, and staring down a six gun in more than one way. That makes revivals of Boeckman’s western work perfect for modern writers and readers.”

No period in American History was as untamed, dangerous, and exciting as what we refer to as ‘The Wild West’. And no man wrote gunslingers, lawmen, and ordinary folks made extraordinary in lawless cowtowns and harsh landscapes like Charles Boeckman. And now, those heroes crafted first by Boeckman in classic Western Pulp magazines live again in new tales from Pro Se Productions. Charles Boeckman Presents The Wild West!

Authors Phillip Drayer Duncan and Terry Alexander load their six guns with new stories featuring Boeckman’s distinct characters of the West. Ride along with men who make life and death choices on the turn of a hat and card, the slip of the tongue, or the wrong look. The western is a cornerstone of American fiction and Charles Boeckman’s legacy as one of its best storytellers lives on in Charles Boeckman Presents The Wild West. From Pro Se Productions.

Charles Boeckman Presents The Wild West featuring an intense cover and logo design by Jeff Hayes and print formatting by Percival Constantine is available for $9.00 in print via Amazon and at Pro Se’s own store. The two story collection is also available as an ebook formatted by Russ Anderson for only 2.99 for the Kindle on Amazon at and for most formats.
